Heritage Financial Services is an FSA regulated provider of Independent Financial Advice. Our Principal, Graham Legg, founded the company ten years ago and added this website facility in 2000. We are based on the Isle of Wight off the south coast of the UK. We are fee-based Independent Financial Advisers specialising in investments, portfolio management, individual and group pensions and estate planning.

In response to the increasing demand from our clients for autonomy in investment decisions - particularly in collective investments – we developed the transactional side of the website. This allowed our clients to use their investment knowledge to choose their own funds. Because we are not advising in the process, our liability and time are reduced, meaning we can offer the service at substantially lower rates than we ordinarily charge. In fact, we take no upfront monies from investments in these products. We rebate all our initial commission and, in many instances, as we deal in bulk, we have also negotiated with the providers to lower their initial charges. The facility was so well subscribed that we decided to offer this service to non-clients, and have since amassed sizeable funds under management.

Recent meetings with clients and people within the industry have led us to believe that the service we created, though still popular, is not exactly what our customers and potential customers are looking for anymore. The World Wide Web is evolving rapidly and our clients are expecting the same level of interactivity, personalisation and dynamic content that they can find on other websites.

We have taken onboard the comments and criticisms that we have received and this, our new look site, is our response.
