Protected Rights Transfer

Since the Goverment changed Protected Rights Legislation in October 2008, we have had a great deal of interest from new and existing client into investigating the viability of transferring their Protected Rights plans into more flexible pensions.

If you have ever contracted out of the State Earnings Related Pension Scheme (SERPS) or, more recently, the State 2nd Pension (S2P), then you will have amassed some Protected Rights contributions. Until October, these contributions could only be invested in a limited range funds. Now, the whole fund universe is available which means you could likely find a better performing vehicle for pension monies. In these times of financial instability, ensuring that your existing pension and investments are working for you at the maximum of their potential is particularly vital.

If you would like to talk to one of our friendly advisers out the potential of transferring your Protected Rights click here to send us a e-mail. Alternatively, you can call our office or write to us - our contact details are on the Contact Us page.
